Our love for plants extends far beyond the walls of the corporate offices, hotels, and indoor environments we deliver. While our team spends every day breathing life into interior spaces across Australia, we know that true plant stewardship means looking after our planet's wild green lungs, too.
That is why we returned to Far North Queensland to celebrate a major milestone: our 6th consecutive year of hands-on tree planting in The Daintree Rainforest alongside our long-term conservation partners at Rainforest Rescue.
Putting our boots on the ground and getting our hands muddy in the soil isn't just a corporate initiative for us - it’s a core part of who we are.
The Daintree is the world's oldest living tropical lowland rainforest, dating back over 180 million years. Yet, lowland areas remain vulnerable to land clearing, fragmentation, and invasive species.
Through our partnership with Rainforest Rescue, Ambius is taking direct, measurable action to protect and restore this irreplaceable World Heritage ecosystem.
Here is what our shared journey has achieved to date:
Every year, Ambius team members from across Australia travel to Far North Queensland to represent our brand, trade office clothes for boots and gloves, and make a real difference.
Here is what some of our team members shared about their experience on the ground:
“Thank you Ambius team for letting me be a part of "plant a rainforest", it was a magnificent experience. I still find it amazing how a small contribution such as planting trees can have such an impact for the future wildlife and for mankind.” Ambius Plantscape Technician
"What a privilege it is to partner with Rainforest Rescue to help regenerate the lungs of Australia, The Daintree. We not only contributed to planting over 5,000 new trees at the Cape Tribulation site, but we also visited the Nightwings site where the Ambius Team planted previously over the past 5 years. To now stand under these dense canopies is a humbling feeling. Wildlife is returning and future generations can enjoy this magnificent ecosystem." Ambius Sales & Operations Manager
"I feel truly privileged to have been able to join Ambius team for such a humbling and memorable experience. It was incredibly rewarding to contribute to the restoration of Australia's oldest rainforest. We also had a wonderful time bonding as a team throughout the trip." Ambius Plantscape Consultant
“The Daintree has survived for over 180 million years. What we do next determines whether it thrives for the next 180 million. Honoured for the opportunity to be with the Ambius team and Rainforest Rescue helping restore one of the most important ecosystems on Earth. Small actions. Lasting impact.“ Ambius GM
While much of the upland Daintree is protected within national parks, the lowland rainforest contains crucial biodiversity that remains largely unprotected on private land. Without intervention, these areas face habitat fragmentation, displacing iconic and endangered native wildlife like the Southern Cassowary, Bennett’s Tree-Kangaroo, and the Spotted-tailed Quoll.
By buying back threatened properties, planting bio-diverse native seedlings, and caring for young trees until they establish a canopy, Rainforest Rescue and its partners are creating safe corridors for wildlife and building resilience against climate change.
For us, indoor plantscaping and environmental restoration go hand-in-hand. When we design biophilic spaces for our clients—whether it’s a living green wall in a high-rise lobby or air-purifying floor plants in a busy workspace—we are helping people reconnect with nature.
Our ongoing work in the Daintree completes that circle: as we bring nature into urban spaces, we ensure that Australia’s wild habitats are protected for generations to come.
Creating healthier spaces doesn't stop at your office door. Whether through workplace giving, supporting sustainable interior design, or partnering with organizations like Rainforest Rescue, every action helps.
